Under the leadership of Sheriff Shaun Golden, the 609 officers and employees of the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office are dedicated to serving the law enforcement needs for the entire county of Monmouth. The Sheriff's Office is comprised of three divisions: Law Enforcement, Corrections and Communications.

The Monmouth County Sheriff's Office is the first Law Enforcement Agency in the United States of America to be nationally accredited in all five areas of operation. The "Five Star" accreditation achievement includes the law enforcement division, the correctional facility, correctional healthcare, the 9-1-1 emergency dispatch center and youth detention center.
