7/6/10 - SHERIFF'S OFFICERS ARREST A MAN WANTED OUT OF ASBURY PARK

A man wanted out of Asbury Park is behind bars after two Monmouth County Sheriff's Officers arrested him in Neptune Township on July 3rd while conducting a motor vehicle stop.

Dominique Kyles, 20, of Asbury Park, was pulled over on Stratford and Myrtle Avenues, after he drove through a stop sign. When Sheriff's Officers John Esposito and Randy Morgan approached the car, they recognized Kyles as the suspect who was wanted in Asbury Park on two separate incidents, and arrested him. On May 14th, Kyles was charged with carjacking a victim at gunpoint in Asbury Park, and on May 17th, he was charged with possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of a handgun and resisting arrest/eluding a police officer in Asbury Park. "This is a great example of exceptional police work and I commend Sheriff's Officers Esposito and Morgan for their quick and decisive actions," said Sheriff Shaun Golden. "An arrest like this helps keep our residents and neighborhoods safe."

Kyles was transported to the Asbury Park Police Department and then transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution where he is being held on $520,000 bail.
