ACES 9-1-1
ACES 9-1-1 (Adults Calling Emergency Services) is a video based program that teaches adults the proper use of the 9-1-1 Emergency phone number. The program was developed collaboratively by the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office, Office on Aging and Department of Economic Development and Tourism. In Monmouth County in 2007, the Sheriff's Office Communication Division received 170,000 9-1-1 calls of which 27,000 were of a non-emergent nature. At an average cost of $4.32 per call, that equates to $116,640 for non-emergent calls. ACES 9-1-1:
The ACES 9-1-1 program is a video and PowerPoint based presentation and is offered throughout Monmouth County. To schedule an ACES 9-1-1 program, contact Undersheriff Ted Freeman at 732-577-5748. For other public safety agencies wishing to conduct ACES 9-1-1, the ACES 9-1-1 program, including lesson plan, brochure and PowerPoint, is downloadable from this website.
